Summary We are seeking a highly motivated full-charge bookkeeper to join our growing offshore team in the Philippines. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who want to take on leadership responsibilities, expand their technical expertise, and work directly with U.S.-based clients. The role will manage all aspects of our clients accounting operations from transaction recording and reconciliation to financial reporting and compliance. Key Responsibilities General Accounting Maintain and reconcile the general ledger , ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with GAAP. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow). Record adjusting entries, depreciation, accruals, and other journal entries. Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes. Accounts Payable & Receivable Process vendor invoices, track due dates, and ensure timely payments. Generate customer invoices for wholesale or B2B accounts, monitor aging, and follow up on collections. Reconcile sales from multiple e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, eBay, etc.) with deposits and merchant statements. Payroll & Employee Records Prepare and process bi-weekly payroll for staff and contractors. Record payroll journal entries, reconcile liabilities, and ensure compliance with tax and labor regulations. Maintain accurate employee records for compensation and benefits. Banking & Reconciliation Perform monthly reconciliations for bank, PayPal, credit card, and merchant accounts. Monitor daily cash flow and assist management in short-term liquidity planning. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly. Inventory & Cost Tracking Work closely with the operations and fulfillment teams to reconcile inventory balances between accounting and warehouse systems. Track cost of goods sold (COGS), shipping costs, and supplier payments. Support management in pricing analysis and margin reporting. Tax Compliance & Reporting Prepare and file sales tax returns across multiple states or jurisdictions. Assist external CPA in preparing corporate income tax returns. Maintain accurate documentation for audit readiness. Budgeting & Financial Analysis Support management in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis. Provide insights on expense trends, profitability, and operational efficiency. Systems & Process Improvement Maintain and optimize accounting workflows using QuickBooks Online and integrated e-commerce platforms. Recommend process improvements for automation, reconciliation, and reporting efficiency. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance , or related field (preferred) 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel/Google Sheets Experience in e-commerce or retail accounting (preferred) Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Stripe, or PayPal Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced online retail environment Ability to work in U.S. hours (Pacific Time) Key Attributes for Success Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to prioritize, organize, manage time, and work independently to meet deadlines Strong analytical, organizational, attention to detail, problem-solving, and leadership skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across multiple functional areas High degree of professionalism and tact in dealing with internal and external partners Must be thorough, thoughtful and able to perform well across various deliverables Perks and Benefits U.S. CPA Exam Support: Reimbursement for review courses and exam fees upon successful completion.
