Job Summary: The Group Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations across a group of companies. This leadership role ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, provides strategic financial insights, and manages budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes. Key Responsibilities: Financial Oversight: Manage and supervise day-to-day financial operations across the group. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with regulatory standards and accounting principles. Conduct regular financial reviews and risk assessments. Strategic Planning & Analysis: Develop and monitor financial budgets, forecasts, and projections. Provide financial analysis and strategic guidance to senior management. Identify and implement process improvements for financial efficiency. Compliance & Audit: Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations. Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations. Team Leadership: Lead and manage the accounting team, including training, supervision, and performance evaluation. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA). Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial regulations. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Skills: Financial reporting and analysis Budgeting and forecasting Tax compliance and risk management Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong leadership and team management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines #J-18808-Ljbffr
