Overview

Recruitment for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Asset Accounting with responsibilities spanning the entire asset accounting process from acquisition to disposal, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Responsibilities
  • As an SME for Asset Accounting Operations you are responsible for providing expertise and guidance within the Asset Accounting organization.
  • Own end-to-end asset accounting processes from acquisition to disposal, leading to accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accuracy and quality of financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement guidelines and procedures for asset lifecycle management in coordination with Functional Solutions team and in accordance with Accounting guidelines.
  • Monitor Asset Accounting topics and processes to ensure adherence to Internal Controls and identify issues or gaps.
  • Develop and implement controls to safeguard the accuracy and integrity of asset-related data.
  • Provide training and support to asset accounting team members on processes and procedures.
  • Stay up to date with asset accounting management technology and recommend system enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in asset accounting operations in collaboration with operations, team leads, and Business Excellence teams.
  • Act as main point of contact for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for ERP projects involving Asset Accounting.
  • Support Internal and External Audits related to Asset Accounting and ensure compliance with audit recommendations.
  • Perform other SME duties as aligned with the Supervisor/Manager.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Finance, Accountancy or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end Asset Accounting processes; 1-3 years of experience in Asset Accounting or General Accounting preferred.
  • Experience in a Global Business Services environment preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Able to work Day, Mid or Night shift.
