Senior Test Automation Engineer

Pointwest Innovations Corporation is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test cases using Tricentis TOSCA. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, integrating test automation into CI/CD workflows, mentoring junior team members, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis TOSCA.

  • Collaborate with QA, development, and business teams to ensure complete test coverage.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitLab, and Jenkins.

  • Track and report test results, defects, and quality metrics using tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, and qTest.

  • Mentor junior testers and support onboarding in automation practices.

  • Continuously update skills in TOSCA’s latest features including AI-driven testing capabilities.

Success Metrics

  • High defect detection and low defect leakage rates.

  • Increased test coverage and reduced manual testing time.

  • Successful CI/CD integration with minimal disruption.

  • Contributions to internal automation knowledge-sharing and team development.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years in software testing, 2+ years in test automation.

    • 2+ years hands-on with Tricentis TOSCA.

    • Experience with Agile/Scrum and CI/CD workflows.

  • Tools: Tricentis TOSCA, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins, OpenText ALM, Xray, qTest.

  • Certifications:

    • Required: Tricentis TOSCA Certification (Automation Specialist Level 1 & 2).

    • Preferred: ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Level.
