Job Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Laravel Developer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using Laravel, with expertise in headless architectures, GraphQL services, API integrations, and database design . This role is primarily focused on engineering and integrations , working closely with product and frontend teams to deliver robust backend solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Laravel applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and security. Build and maintain headless architectures and implement GraphQL services. Participate in the design and development of API integrations with internal and external services. Design, optimize, and maintain database schemas to support scalable and efficient applications. Optimize application performance, including profiling, fine-tuning, and troubleshooting bottlenecks. Implement and enforce secure development practices across applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, QA, product) to deliver end-to-end solutions. Ensure all development follows best practices, including testing, documentation, and coding standards. Work with established CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automations to ensure smooth deployments. Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and help shape technical decision-making. Actively contribute in an Agile/Scrum environment, engaging in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Requirements 5+ years of professional software development experience, including at least 3 years with Laravel. Strong experience with headless architectures and GraphQL services. Demonstrated experience collaborating on RESTful and GraphQL API design and integrations. Proven ability in database design, optimization, and query performance tuning. Proven ability in application performance optimization, fine-tuning, and troubleshooting bottlenecks. Solid understanding of secure development practices, including data protection, authentication, and authorization. Solid understanding of agile development practices, testing frameworks, and code quality standards. Proficiency in PHP, Laravel, and related technologies (e.g., Composer, Artisan, Eloquent ORM). Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and performance tuning. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (comfortable working within established processes). Knowledge of modern front-end technologies (Vue.js, React, or similar) is a plus. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Commitment to writing secure, maintainable, and scalable code. Nice to Have Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Digital Ocean, GCP, or Azure). Knowledge of event-driven architectures (queues, messaging systems, webhooks). Experience mentoring or supporting junior developers.
