Overview Intermediate Accountant | Remote | AU Accounting and Tax exp Location: Remote (Philippines). Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM | Monday - Friday. Join TOA Global as an Intermediate Accountant and work with Australian clients on day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting needs. There is a longer-term view of expanding the international team if successful. Key Responsibilities Process up to Trial Balance stage and prepare financial statements for Australian companies, trusts and individuals (Note: DO NOT work with Superannuation Funds). Prepare Australian Income Tax Returns for Companies, Trusts and individuals for lodgement with the Australian Taxation Office. Perform GST reconciliations and prepare Business Activity Statements. Prepare and reconcile journals and workpapers; prepare management reports, cash flow and forecasts to assist with tax planning. Process payroll and superannuation through Xero. Conduct research on various topics as required by client or ATO. Prepare and update tax provision schedules as required. Liaise with management and accountants to ensure targets are met; coordinate with the ATO as needed. Handle various other tasks which may include administrative duties to assist as required. Qualifications / Skills Bachelors degree in accounting Minimum 3 years of experience in Australian accounting and tax return preparation Advanced Microsoft Office skills Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal Attention to detail and time management Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Strong knowledge of Australian GST, BAS, payroll, and tax compliance Experience with Xero accounting software Experience using Workpaper and document management software: FYI (nice to have) Presentable, reliable, good communicator, and a collaborative team member with understanding of client security requirements What’s in it for you?
