Job Description

Accounting Supervisor oversees and manages the day-to-day accounting operations of a company, including supervising staff, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining internal controls. They are responsible for tasks such as preparing and reviewing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, as well as participating in audits and tax compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Supervision: Supervising accounting staff, providing guidance, and ensuring compliance with company and accounting policies.
  • Internal Controls: Developing and maintaining internal controls to minimize risk and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
  • Audit Support: Participating in audits, providing information to auditors, and resolving audit issues.
  • Analysis: Analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and providing insights to support decision-making.
  • Staff Management: Recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating accounting staff.
  • Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications

3-5 years of experience. Senior Accountant level is welcome to apply.

  • Communication: Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with staff, auditors, and other departments.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software: Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or SAP, Jobstreet, and other relevant software.
