What We’re Looking For: Australian Experience is Crucial All candidates must have previous Australian experience in a Drafting/Estimating/House & Land Coordination role. Applications without demonstrated prior Australian client experience will not be considered. Key Responsibilities and Skills 1. Drafting & Site Expertise Read legalisation and interpret setbacks for precise house siting. Draw up site plans, read contours, and understand services, obstructions, and civil construction plans. Interpret covenants, building design guidelines, and check plans/designs for compliance (and price upgrades where required). Calculate required bench level, cut/fill (export/import), and retaining requirements (quantities and cost). Review acoustic, bushfire, and other overlay reports to determine necessary building material upgrades. Experience with Geosite or similar site‑planning software is desirable. 2. Estimating & Compliance Skills Price upgrades/changes required as per Design Guidelines, POD (Plan of Development), and council regulations. 3. State‑Specific Compliance Focus (NSW/QLD) NSW role: strong understanding of CDC (Complying Development Certificate) compliance and NSW‑specific planning regulations. QLD role: strong understanding of QLD‑specific development assessment rules and local council planning schemes.
