Job Description The Facilities Associate position is integral to the smooth functioning of any organization, playing a crucial role in maintaining the optimal functionality and safety of buildings and facilities. This role involves ensuring that all facilities are clean, operational, and well‑maintained. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. As a Facilities Associate, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the upkeep of the organization’s physical environment, helping to create a safe and pleasant space for employees and visitors. Your efforts will directly contribute to the operational efficiency and sustainability of the facility. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve issues with building infrastructure. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing lighting fixtures and doors. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the facility premises. Coordinate with external vendors for larger repairs or maintenance projects. Maintain cleaning and maintenance supplies inventory and place orders when needed. Assist in the setup and teardown of events hosted within the facility. Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC). Provide first‑level support for minor electrical and plumbing issues. Maintain and update maintenance logs and records accurately and promptly. Respond to facility‑related emergencies and resolve them swiftly and effectively. Assist in implementing energy‑saving initiatives and sustainable practices. Collaborate with management to enhance the facility’s layout and design for better utility. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required for this role. Proven experience as a facilities associate or in a related field is preferred. Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods is essential. BASIC knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems within corporate environments. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities are required to manage tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions without supervision.
