Job Summary : Looking for an experienced accounting professional to assist with reviewing tax returns (1040, 1040NR, 1120s, 1065, 1120) that tax preparers worked on before and tax preparation for some complex tax returns. Some of the tax returns will be from international clients so knowledge and experience in international taxation is required. Tax preparation software utilized is UltraTax CS.

Responsibilities
  • Relevant experience in preparing/reviewing Individual and Business Tax returns and other US tax forms (1040, 1040NR, 1120s, 1065, 1120)
  • Assessment of situation and list of documents needed from clients
  • Reviewing tax returns pending to be transmitted to IRS
  • Tax preparation support for some complex tax returns
  • Improvement of tax processes
  • Weekly meetings with partners to discuss complex and/or new cases
  • IRS Representations (in complex situations)
  • Meetings with potential and current clients as needed

Requirements
  • Certified Public Accountant or an Enrolled Agent is required
  • International taxation experience (2 years or more)
  • US State tax preparation experience is a MUST
  • Active PTIN (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications
  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required
  • Solid experience in handling taxation, BIR books of account, BIR compliances and BIR transactions, tax annualization, audit, LOA and other tax related transactions
  • Good English communication skills both written and oral
  • Able to get along in a team well
  • Proficient in MS Office and knows how to use some formulas is an advantage
  • Willing to extend hours if needed
  • Willing to work in BGC, office setup, from Mondays to Fridays, 9am to 6pm

Specific duties/responsibilities
  • Coordinate with appropriate parties in resolving payroll issues and errors

  • Coach, mentor, train and coordinate the activities of the staff

Technical Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in leading full payroll service delivery teams
  • Adept in dealing with foreign clients in delivering payroll services
  • Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in English in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience in payroll, and the use of a large ERP
  • Experience in personnel and people management, including supervision and team building
  • Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and identify and resolve problems
