Job Description

Are you a skilled and detail-oriented accountant looking to advance your career in the digital marketplace? We are seeking talented Accountants to join our eCommerce accounting team supporting our US-based client. This onsite role is based in Ortigas, NCR, with US business hours (currently 10pm–7am local time), Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot reconciliation differences between sales channels, accounting software, and State Government websites.
  • Apply accounting knowledge to complete client financial reviews.
  • Handle registrations for sales tax, file sales tax returns, and record sales tax liabilities for clients.
  • Use complex Excel functions to manage and analyse data, troubleshoot problems and processes as they arise.
  • Explore and learn new forms of accounting to build expertise as an eCommerce accountant.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting
  • Confident spoken and written English
  • Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel
  • Good time management skills
  • Experience with small business accounting and QuickBooks preferred
  • Experience with eCommerce accounting is an advantage

US Tax Accountant

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated US Tax Accountant with at least 3 years of experience in managing all aspects of U.S. sales, use tax or other US tax matters. The ideal candidate will be proficient in tax preparation, filing, reconciliation, and audit support, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with evolving tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and file multi-state sales and use tax returns using various online filing systems
  • Ensure timely tax payments and monthly accrual reports to support general ledger accounting
  • Reconcile filed tax returns against sales tax payable accounts in the general ledger
  • Manage tax documentation such as W-9 forms, resale certificates, and exemption forms
  • Research state-specific tax rulings and apply relevant tax laws
  • Review tax rate changes and system compliance, report discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions
  • Support internal departments with tax-related requests, including exemptions, refunds, and billing adjustments
  • Validate customer-submitted tax exemption certificates and maintain exemption records
  • Compile data for state tax audits and compliance reviews
  • Maintain and configure tax decision-making software used in system invoicing and automation

  • Hands-on experience in maintaining tax systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Vertex, Avalara)
  • Solid understanding of tax laws, forms, publications, and basic tax planning principles
