POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Workforce Planning candidate who will be responsible for forecasting future workforce needs, identifying potential gaps or surpluses in talent, and developing strategies to address them.

The candidate will be an effective communicator with strong analytical skills, proficiency in workforce management tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze historical workforce data, including turnover rates, productivity metrics, and performance evaluations, to identify trends and patterns.
  • Assess current workforce capabilities, skills inventory, and demographic data to inform future workforce planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers and stakeholders to forecast future staffing needs based on business objectives, growth projections, and industry trends.
  • Utilize forecasting models, workforce management software, and data analytics tools to predict workforce demand accurately.
  • Partner with HR and recruitment teams to develop recruitment plans, sourcing strategies, and talent pipelines to attract and retain top talent.
  • Evaluate recruitment processes and make recommendations for improvements to enhance candidate experience and reduce time-to-fill metrics.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to workforce planning, including turnover rates, time-to-fill, and employee engagement metrics.
  • Prepare regular reports and dashboards to track workforce trends, metrics, and performance against targets.
  • Anticipate changes in business requirements, market conditions, and regulatory environments that may impact workforce planning initiatives.
  • Lead change management efforts to facilitate organizational agility and resilience in response to evolving workforce dynamics.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of workforce planning processes, methodologies, and tools and recommend enhancements.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in workforce management and planning to drive continuous improvement.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in workforce planning or strategic HR planning, preferably in a large organization or complex environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and forecasting techniques.
  • Experience with workforce management software platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving organizational objectives.
  • Proficiency in workforce management software, HRIS systems, and data visualization tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
