As part of our expansion, we’re seeking a News Editor (contractor) to support our mission of delivering trusted, independent insight to insurance practitioners across Asia Pacific. Key tasks and responsibilities Write, edit, and proofread a range of content—including breaking news stories, in-depth features, analysis pieces. Monitor news and breaking developments to ensure timely and relevant reporting and to inform editorial planning. Uphold the highest standards of accuracy, clarity, and timeliness, ensuring all published material meets the publication’s editorial guidelines and quality benchmarks. Collaborate closely with reporters, writers, and the broader editorial team to generate compelling, relevant, and original content that aligns with our editorial voice and strategic objectives. Stay up-to-date with industry trends to help shape editorial strategy. Oversee the publishing workflow using (Re)in Asia’s content management system (CMS), ensuring stories are formatted, scheduled, and published efficiently. Select, source, and upload appropriate images or multimedia elements to enhance stories and drive reader engagement. Mentor and support writers, providing constructive feedback and editorial guidance as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as an editor. 5+ years of experience as a journalist. Strong research and writing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines. Proficiency using digital tools for research and reporting. Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
