SEO Specialist – Remote, Full‑Time Location: Remote Hours: Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (GMT) Salary: (To be confirmed) Reports to: Head of Marketing / SEO Manager About the Role We’re looking for an experienced and detail‑driven SEO Specialist to join our growing digital team. You’ll be responsible for planning, executing, and optimising SEO strategies that drive traffic, improve rankings, and generate measurable results for our clients. This role is perfect for someone who is hands‑on with SEO tasks, highly analytical, and up to date with the latest search engine trends, tools, and best practices. What You’ll Do Perform keyword research, competitor analysis, and SEO audits. Optimise website content, landing pages, and metadata for SEO best practices. Manage technical SEO tasks including site speed, crawlability, schema, and indexing. Develop and execute link‑building strategies to improve domain authority. Track and report on SEO KPIs (rankings, organic traffic, CTR, conversions). Collaborate with content, web design, and development teams to implement SEO improvements. Stay current on Google algorithm updates and industry trends. Manage local SEO efforts including Google Business Profile optimisation. What We’re Looking For Must‑haves: Proven 2-3+ years experience as an SEO Specialist or SEO Manager. Strong knowledge of on‑page, off‑page, and technical SEO. Proficiency with SEO tools: SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console. Ability to run comprehensive site audits and implement technical fixes. Skilled in keyword research, mapping, and intent analysis. Knowledge of content optimisation and on‑page best practices (H1s, metadata, internal linking). Familiarity with backlink analysis and link‑building outreach strategies. Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and how they impact SEO. Advanced proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with comprehensive understanding of how these technologies impact SEO performance. Experience improving Core Web Vitals and site performance. Ability to implement and troubleshoot schema markup / structured data. Strong understanding of local SEO (GBP optimisation, citations, reviews). Ability to measure, report, and present SEO performance data clearly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated.
