Job Description The role of an IT Administrator is pivotal in maintaining the technological backbone of an organization. As an IT Administrator, you will be responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and security. Responsibilities Maintain, upgrade, and manage all hardware and software resources in the organization. Install and configure software and operating systems across all company devices and servers. Monitor and optimize system and network performance to avoid disruptions in service. Ensure security of IT infrastructure by implementing cybersecurity measures and monitoring. Develop and update IT-related policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Perform routine maintenance and patches on servers and network devices systematically. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in a secure and efficient manner. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues efficiently to minimize downtime. Provide technical support and guidance for IT-related queries from employees. Oversee the operation and maintenance of backup and recovery systems. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT-related purchases and support. Provide training sessions to staff on newly implemented systems or software updates. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Proven experience as an IT Administrator or similar role in an enterprise setting. Strong knowledge of network protocols, server infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles. Proficiency in troubleshooting, installing, and configuring hardware and software systems. Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and proactive approach. Familiarity with backup systems, data recovery, and disaster preparedness planning. Effective communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical staff seamlessly.
