Responsibilities Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations. Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions. Coordinate and prioritize daily accounting activities. Resolve accounting discrepancies and issues. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts. Analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies. Prepare and review journal entries. Assist with budget preparation and monitoring. Month-End and Year-End Closing: Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion. Prepare and review closing entries. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other relevant regulations. Assist with internal and external audits. Maintain accurate and organized financial records. Ensure tax compliance. Process Improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures. Implement and maintain effective internal controls. Utilize accounting software and systems effectively. Other Duties: Assist with special projects as assigned. Provide support to other departments as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 2 years of progressive accounting experience, with supervisory experience preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. CPA or relevant accounting certification is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
