Remote AU/NZ AutoCAD Drafter and Structural Designer (PERMANENT DAYSHIFT, WFH) Remote position. Start at 30 hours weekly with VA Rate $10-12 AUD per hour. Purpose: The position’s primary responsibility is to create detailed technical drawings for buildings using computer-aided design (CAD) software like AutoCAD. This highly-trained draftsman will work with architects and engineers to design and create 2D computer models of buildings from blueprints or from scratch. Job Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years experience as an AutoCAD Drafter and Structural Designer Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering Strong analytical and mathematical skills essential for load calculations and structural analysis Proficiency in CAD software for creating and modifying designs Experience working for an Australian business preferred; can consider those with NZ experience Experience in residential and commercial drafting preferred Excellent problem-solving skills to address design challenges and construction issues Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with stakeholders Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations Experience in project management often required for senior roles Familiar with steel and timber framing, concrete design Experience using Structural Toolkit, AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro Teams, Outlook, SharePoint familiarity needed for document management and communication Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency required for documentation and calculations Asana project management system integration required for task tracking and workflow management Duties and Responsibilities Prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD Interpret engineering calculations and convert to AutoCAD format Work on projects including site plans, floor plans, elevations, and structural drafting deliverables Create detailed designs for buildings, steel and concrete structures, timber frame Collaboration: work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers throughout the project lifecycle Documentation: preparing reports, blueprints, technical drawings, and other construction documents Ensure drawings are accurate and meet industry standards Maintain a library of standard drawing templates Update existing drawings as new information becomes available Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Employment Type Part-time Job Function Engineering and Project Management #J-18808-Ljbffr
