About the team Our Reap Direct team crafts and maintains cutting‑edge client‑facing web and mobile platforms such as Reap Card, Reap Pay, and expense management solutions. What you’ll do As a Senior Software Engineer on the Reap Direct team, you will own the full development lifecycle of features, from concept through deployment, creating scalable, maintainable, and robust systems and user interfaces that are truly customer‑centric. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to design and craft innovative solutions that directly address our clients’ everyday challenges. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, driving seamless product development from concept to deployment. Engineer applications that meet the best quality standards in the fintech industry. Lead by example and raise the bar for engineering practices and quality. Keep our tech stack modern and competitive by staying current with the latest industry trends and technologies. Improve the reliability and stability of production products with a large user base, ensuring uninterrupted service. Contribute to our team’s growth by assisting with resume screening and conducting interviews for new talent. Minimum Requirements Experience: minimum of 6 years of front‑end development experience, owning and operating business‑critical systems. Coding standards: ability to deliver maintainable, tested, and production‑ready architecture and code. Problem solving: deep care for correctness, edge cases, and failure modes; approach problems with curiosity and care; debug thoughtfully, ask questions, and prioritize clear, robust solutions. Front‑end expertise: in‑depth knowledge of React.js ecosystem, micro‑frontends, state management, CSS processors (e.g., SASS) and frameworks (e.g., MUI, Styled‑components/Emotion). Technical judgment: balance technical depth with product understanding, make sound trade‑offs, build systems that are elegant yet practical. Engineering growth mindset: seek feedback, learn from others, and raise the engineering team’s bar. Collaboration: write clear code, participate in peer reviews, communicate respectfully, challenge ideas, and raise team quality. Preferred Qualifications Domain exposure: experience or interest in fintech domains such as payments, credit card issuance, or exchanges. Mobile app development: familiarity with React Native and app publishing process. AI fluency: proactive use of AI tools to accelerate work and deepen understanding.
