About the Opportunity We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help modernise ELMO’s user experience. You’ll work in a cross‑functional squad, contribute to our micro‑frontend architecture and design system, and build fast, accessible, and scalable interfaces that make a real impact. What You’ll Do Collaborate within a cross‑functional product team to deliver impactful solutions Write performant, accessible, and scalable code Contribute to our modern micro‑frontend architecture and the ELMO Design System, ensuring consistent visuals and behavior across products Balance technical execution with strong teamwork and collaboration Build and maintain large‑scale frontend applications using TypeScript, React, and related tools like Nx monorepos, module federation, and Rspack/Webpack Ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level AA Work closely with designers and backend engineers to define API contracts, data flows, and interaction models Write clean, testable, and well‑documented code with solid unit and integration test coverage Participate in peer reviews, architecture discussions, and design sessions Monitor, debug, and optimise frontend performance in production using observability tools Continuously enhance developer experience by improving build pipelines, CI/CD workflows, and local development environments Mentor mid‑level engineers by providing guidance, feedback, and pairing support Stay updated on emerging frontend practices—progressive rendering, bundling strategies, Web Vitals, platform optimisations—and promote their adoption Utilise AI tools like GitHub Copilot and Cursor to boost productivity and streamline development Desired Skills Advanced knowledge of React, React Query/TanStack Query, and state management patterns (context, Zustand, Redux, etc.) Proven experience in monorepo or micro‑frontend environments (e.g. Nx, Turborepo, Module Federation) Understanding of component‑driven design, atomic UI principles, and design system governance Familiarity with automated testing (Jest, Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress) and CI/CD workflows Comfort with REST and GraphQL APIs, API contracts, and schema validation Strong grasp of a11y, security best practices (OWASP Top 10), and privacy considerations Excellent communication and collaboration skills within distributed teams Apply now and be part of the team shaping the future of work at ELMO ELMO Software Pty Ltd is an equal‑opportunity employer, and we encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds to join our team.
