Overview

Primary Design Engineer role at Jacobs, Mandaluyong, National Capital Region, Philippines.

Responsibilities
  • Developing primary engineering deliverables including substation layout design, clearances, short circuit force calculations, lighting calculations, and earthing
  • Fulfilling the role of Lead Engineer for projects within defined packages, delivering on time and budget
  • Providing technical direction to design teams, including engineers in our Global Delivery Centres; interact with and support other disciplines (civil, structural, secondary)
  • Managing and undertaking technical reviews of deliverables
  • Attending and participating in project and client meetings
  • Contributing to proposal preparation, scope development, pricing, and occasionally lead proposal coordination
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships as a trusted adviser
Qualifications
  • Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Demonstrated expertise in HV Primary Electrical Engineering for transmission and distribution systems
  • Proficiency with CAD software such as Microstation and AutoCAD
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and practices; experience in leading engineers and design teams
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across geographies
  • Proven ability to build strong client relationships
  • Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
