About our Client: Our AU based client has been providing a full spectrum of accounting and taxation solutions to Australian and foreign business owners, large family groups, investors & individuals since 2007. About the Role We're looking for a motivated, talented intermediate or senior level Accountant to join our friendly team. You'll take on diverse accounting, taxation, and advisory work, supported by partners who will help take your career to the next level. Their clients stay with them because of exceptional service and we're looking for someone who shares that same pride in their work and commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Preparing income tax returns and financial statements for individuals, sole traders, companies, trusts, and self-managed superannuation funds. Preparing Business Activity Statements and state tax returns, such as payroll tax and land tax. Researching and consulting on a range of tax issues and drafting tax advice for our managers and partners. Liaising with the ATO, OSR, clients, and other professionals to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks. Use AI tools such as Chatgpt, Copilot, and other automation platforms to enhance accuracy, streamline processes, and improve overall efficiency across accounting and tax functions. Requirements and skills Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an Australian accounting firm. Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field. Strong and proven proficiency in cloud-based accounting software, including Excel, Xero, XPM, and MYOB. Familiarity with FYI is a plus but not essential. Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar platforms to enhance research, problem-solving, and process efficiency. Strong AI literacy will be considered a distinct advantage. Demonstrates a hunger for learning and training, with a commitment to continuous professional development. Keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
