Overview

As a Senior Accountant, you will be a key member of the Finance Team, reporting directly to the Finance Director, managing a team of accountants, and collaborating with our teams in the Philippines and the United States to support various accounting and financial activities while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.

Responsibilities
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile account balances.
  • Produce accurate, error-free accounting reports and present findings.
  • Analyze financial information and summarize the organization’s financial status.
  • Identify errors and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide technical support and advice on accounting and finance matters.
  • Review and recommend enhancements to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Manage a team of accountants and accounting assistants.
  • Participate in financial standards setting and forecasting processes.
  • Contribute to the department’s goal-setting and strategic planning activities.
  • Prepare financial statements and budgets in accordance with set schedules.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for BIR and other tax audits.
  • Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Plan, assign, and review the work of accounting staff.
  • Oversee and ensure the timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
  • Collaborate with the wider finance team to enhance financial procedures.
  • Ensure timely and complete compliance with BIR and other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA preferred
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping, finance, closing of books, and end-to-end accounting
  • Direct experience in BIR filing and compliance (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
  • Experience in SEC and other government filings and compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise or manage accounting staff
  • Strong skills in Excel, mathematics, and data entry, with the ability to complete ad-hoc tasks
  • Hands-on experience in QuickBooks Online is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting/bookkeeping software
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
  • Willingness to comply with company policies and government regulations
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets
