Job Description

As the Purchasing associate gains more knowledge and becomes exposed to Purchasing areas ether Production Materials or NPM, his/her skills and compentencies can be identified/aligned accordingly into the Purchasing Organization.

  • Indirect/Direct Materials - building vendor relationships, sourcing and negotiating, drive for cost savings
  • Procurement / SCM - analytical and decision maiking skills that impacts Production plans and/or Sales commitments to end-customer
  • An Analyst is expected to provide resolutions on on issues from day-to-day ops and conduct data mining for RCAs to identify preventive and corrective actions
  • Purchasing Buyers are given the authority to approve or reject shopping carts
  • The additional responsibilities assigned gives exposure to analytical tasks support cost savings, and more interaction with business partners to build relationships.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree - preferably in Engineering, Business or Finance
  • Knowledgeable in Six Sigma and Lean methodologies is an advantage
  • At least 2-3 years experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics and/or P2P function
  • Work with Project teams on process improvements, development of KPI and other quality measures
  • Able to facilitate team meetings to share best practices, lead process improvement initiatives, actively participate/form part of GBS committees (such as events comm., Connect)
  • Work experience in local and international setting.
