I2C Cash Applications Accountant

Merck Group, Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines Overview Role: Accountant (Accounts Receivable) - Night Shift within the I2C (Invoice-to-Cash) organization. Location: Taguig, Philippines. This description consolidates the responsibilities, qualifications, and offerings associated with the role as published by Merck Group. Responsibilities Collaborate with the I2C Team Lead and Managers to support the continuous improvement portfolio. Drive project management of select initiatives across global Invoice-to-Cash Operations, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities through hands-on project work. Spearhead the establishment of a center of excellence for Invoice-to-Cash Operations in close collaboration with Executive Management, Process & Project Management, the Commercial Organization, and IT. Manage the overarching I2C management agenda by defining content, facilitating critical meetings, and enabling the collection and evaluation of internal and external information. Prepare presentations and decks for management meetings. Foster innovation by bringing in new ideas and strategies to elevate the organization. Lead synergy initiatives across I2C globally, driving projects such as Process Mining and ART/Automation. Balance responsibilities between process management (50%) and I2C projects (50%). Qualifications University degree with a major in Accounting or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable (AR) team within Shared Service Centers. Initial work experience in accounting/finance, with direct experience in full-cycle AR preferred. Subject Matter Expert (SME) with exposure to people management. Proficient in cash applications, credit management, bank reconciliations, and AR reporting. Experience within a Shared Services Center is preferred. Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is essential. Fluent in English; additional language skills are an asset. Flexible to work any shift. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Adaptable to changing business requirements and circumstances. High degree of self-initiative with a proactive working habit. Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines. Resilient under stress, with a keen attention to detail. Open-minded and willing to learn new concepts. Excellent communication skills with a strong customer orientation.
