The Finance Manager position is both strategic and hands‑on , requiring close involvement in day‑to‑day accounting activities. The position‑holder must be able to independently perform full accounting functions —from bookkeeping to financial reporting—ensuring that all financial records are accurate, compliant, and reflective of the company’s operational performance, supporting management in sound decision‑making and business growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee and perform all key accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cost accounting, and tax compliance. Coordinate and assist in quarterly and year‑end financial audit activities, as well as the annual corporate financial controls audit. Review and assess current accounting processes and procedures, and recommend improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed. Lead and support the execution of general ledger accounting functions. Provide guidance and direction to accounting staff, including performance management, goal setting, and training, while maintaining strong working relationships. Ensure accurate and timely financial closing and reporting. Collaborate with external auditors in the event that the company engages an outsourced accounting service. Act as a concurrent Accounting Specialist with the following responsibilities: Maintain accurate and complete accounting records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and inventory‑related data. Support daily, monthly, and annual accounting functions such as financial reporting, budgeting, tax preparation, and product costing. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to verify charges and ensure timely payments. Communicate with clients to clarify account balances, charges, and discrepancies. Stay informed of current financial regulations, industry practices, and company policies through ongoing professional development. Note The Finance Manager will serve as the key internal liaison, ensuring seamless coordination and implementation of accounting directives while remaining fully hands‑on in day‑to‑day accounting operations. Educational Requirement Graduate of BS in Accountancy; CPA is required. Min Years of Work Experience Minimum of 5 years solid accounting experience, preferably in retail and manufacturing industries. Strong background in inventory management, cost accounting, and financial reporting. Hands‑on experience in managing general accounting, payables, receivables, payroll, taxation, and financial analysis. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking skills. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar ERP systems. Excellent understanding of Philippine financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across different levels of the organization. High level of integrity, accountability, and business acumen.
