Job Summary

• Responsible for providing expert advice and support to the IT Head and other key officers in identifying, defining, and developing the Bank’s system infrastructure framework using appropriate technology, suited hardware and software products, and effective interfaces that support the target applications, facilitate their integration, and promote efficient IT administration and operation.
• Represents analysis, research, and implementation tasks covering design and review of the infrastructure domains (servers, storage, systems, network, and applications/databases) to attain target levels of availability, performance, scalability, security, data integrity, and cost of IT solutions and applications with focus on Core Banking (Finacle). Leads the assessment of infrastructure domains to identify and recommend changes and push action-steps for current technical environments either for compliance to standards, prospective improvements, and positioning for technology. Understands IT and industry best practices and keeps abreast with current and emerging technology in appreciation of its impact to the Bank’s architecture.

How will you contribute?

• Develops, implements, and maintains strategic and tactical technical infrastructure and directions across the Bank’s IT environments that translates the Bank’s business objectives into IT infrastructure targets on availability, performance, scalability, security, data integrity, and cost.
• Develops and defines infrastructure designs that enforce integration, minimize duplications, enhance standards compliance, and improve operation across interfacing applications and environments.
• Identifies, tests, and defines infrastructure standards, process, procedure, metrics, maps or other tools that will facilitate understanding and enable implementation or compliance to the approved infrastructure architecture.
• Ensures target architecture execution, procedure refinement, and operation consistency across working groups through communication and participation in planning and implementation of critical solutions, applications, and environments, such as production and non-production setup.
• Conducts and consults concerned parties on health-check to assess infrastructure setups, identify needs for improvements, and align status with project requirements such as technology change, resource adjustment, or related structure modification.
• Participates in solution evaluation and selection of enterprise software and hardware focusing on the impact on the approved architecture and on exploring prospective benefits of related setup changes.
• Ensures timely and complete drafting and filing of infrastructure architecture documentations, related forms, and reports.
• Surveys and maintains current and emerging technology as well as its trends and issues to identify prospective impact and needed action-items on a bank's IT infrastructure. Coordinates with concerned external service/information providers.
• Reports, presents, and handles with IT officers or concerned bank groups infrastructure information, architecture concerns, related administration matters, or audit findings in line with regular bank procedure.
• Undertakes any other duties or tasks, which may be reasonably assigned by the ITSSG Head, supervising officer or other concerned IT senior staff.

What will make you successful?

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or any related field of studies
• Minimum 5 years of experience as infrastructure architect or technical-lead.
• Planning, design, review of infrastructure domains, solutions, tools: operating systems, networks, storage, and other infrastructure items.
• Infrastructure health/status measurement and review.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in information planning, systems design and requirements, technical analysis and design with relevant exposure to banking applications.
