Overview

As a Business Director , you will lead the work on some of the most popular consumer brands in the world, impacting the daily lives of nearly 2 billion people in the fastest growing region in the world. You will work for clients who not only care about success in the marketplace, but are passionate about the role of brands in helping bring about social change. The Group Account Director is responsible for the overall management of a client account including creation and communication of effective brand strategies, annual fee and contract negotiations, account staffing and oversight of all client relations and presentations; and provides high level support and oversight to an Account Service team.


Responsibilities

  1. Manages a portfolio of brands
  2. Along with Creative Directors and Strategic Planner, sets creative and strategic tone for client account
  3. Partners with Senior Planners to develop and implement highly interactive strategic plans for brand
  4. Problem solves on high level account and production issues and knows when to involve Managing Director
  5. Builds and maintains top level client relationships; acts as key contact to clients; attends all high profile campaign presentations, shoots and edits
  6. Oversees annual fee and contract negotiations and other broad budget issues; works closely with Finance on contract and fee proposals; recommends staffing adjustments as necessary based on increase or decrease in annual fee
  7. Leads weekly/monthly client revenue tracking and analyzes revenue impact on account and agency profitability
  8. Manages and facilitates new business pitches when requested by Managing Director
  9. Committed to constantly improving our work, and how we work
  10. Always on a look out for opportunities to cross-sell within the Groupe
  11. Maintains a sense of discretion and professionalism, representing the Groupe

Qualifications

  1. Minimum 12 years of client management experience within an agency
  2. Deep understanding of marketing and digital production steps and processes – responsible for high level digital communication to clients
  3. Capable of writing a thoughtful interactive business strategy presentation dissecting a client’s platform, mobile and social landscape, highlighting current trends in digital, media, technology and advertising that may be utilized to grow their business
  4. Lives the interactive ecosystem (truly born of Digital), understands how social, mobile, experiential, search, etc all co-exist
  5. Able to effectively interpret and lead regarding measurement reporting, whether regarding standard or rich media advertising or social
  6. Rallies behind interactive briefs and pushes clients and creatives to explore new interactive projects
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment
  8. Effective negotiation and problem-solving skills required
  9. Strong financial understanding of budgeting, estimating and agency profitability
  10. A demonstrated track record of gaining trust and respect by consistently demonstrating sound critical thinking skills and maintaining composure in stressful situations
  11. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees
  12. Highly organized with a keen sense of attention to detail
  13. Exceptional initiative and follow through skills
