Director Overview This role builds and leads a practice area or has specialist expertise for which you are known in the marketplace. The role monitors the company-broad services to the assigned client portfolio and works on and leads business development objectives to expand work opportunities. Job Description Duties & Responsibilities As a Director, duties & responsibilities include: Managing a specific service line portfolio or technical area. Managing multiple and concurrent complex projects, possibly with the contribution of cross-divisional/group specialists. Executing projects to a level that meets the firm\'s quality standards and takes accountability for managing scope and delivering timely and quality deliverables through strong collaboration. Understanding the commercial and contractual aspects of an engagement including managing fee-proposals, overruns and work above budget. Potentially leading a practice management area within the service line, i.e., People, Financial Management or a Market Segment. Simplifying highly complex business situations and strategies to identify key issues and priorities. Negotiating with high levels of discretion with internal or external parties such as clients, government bodies and other organizations. Driving pragmatic and innovative solutions which strengthen business performance and differentiates the company from our competition. Expertise & Qualifications The applicant should have the following attributes: Deep technical knowledge of and exposure to Australian taxation and accounting legislation and associated requirements. Minimum 7 years’ experience working in a similar corporate environment. Have a relevant tertiary or post-grad qualification. Demonstrated ability to keep up to date and understand any changes to Australian taxation law and accounting standards. Solid tax and accounting technical / systems capabilities. Accent centric approach and ability to understand your clients’ business. Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills will be key as the applicant develops relationships with key client stakeholders. It involves managing the preparation, delivery, reporting, and evaluation of assigned projects and engagements, particularly larger and higher-risk projects. The role requires providing advanced technical knowledge, direction, and training to others, while also participating in team practice decisions such as resource allocation and career development. It emphasizes business development, networking, and people management, while actively collaborating across the firm. Minimum 5 years’ experience in tax consulting or advisory. Relevant tertiary or post-graduate qualification. Ability to digest, distill, and communicate complex concepts clearly in writing and verbally. Initiative and enthusiasm for innovative solutions in service delivery. Client-centric approach with strong business understanding. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for stakeholder relationships. Passion for continuous learning. __ Manager Overview This role manages one or more client engagements or components of large-scale engagements, as well as individually contributing to quality work on the engagement. It provides technical knowledge, coaching and training to junior team members and ensures effective engagement management by achieving the required realization, revenue and profitability targets. The role may participate in the day-to-day management of the team on engagements including coaching, providing constructive feedback and performance development. The role has an increased focus on business development, building networks across the practice and may start to take on people development activities. It also promotes collaboration within the firm through engagements and networks. Job Description Duties & Responsibilities Providing Australian tax and accounting advice and solutions to a diverse portfolio which includes small to medium sized entities, family and privately owned businesses, trusts and partnerships, foreign subsidiaries and small listed entities. Further developing your technical expertise working across services including Australian tax and accounting compliance and business/tax advisory work for middle market clients. Playing a key role across the full scope of client engagements including regular client contact and attending client presentations and meetings with senior leaders. Developing into a mentor to assist other less experienced team members and encourage their continued professional development. Expertise & Qualifications The applicant should have the following attributes: Strong technical knowledge of and exposure to Australian taxation and accounting legislation and associated requirements. 4 to 5 years’ experience working in a similar corporate environment. Have a relevant tertiary or post-grad qualification. Possess highly developed written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal qualities. Display initiative and be excited to help create innovative solutions in a changing world of service delivery. Possess a passion for ongoing learning. Possess an ability to establish and develop effective professional relationships. Be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience your area.
