The Head of Digital Technology will lead the development, delivery, and continuous evolution of cutting‑edge digital solutions for the Technology Division. The role combines strategic oversight with strong technical leadership, emphasizing system performance, operational excellence, and agile delivery. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Define and execute the digital technology roadmap in alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Champion innovation through emerging technologies, modern engineering practices, and data‑driven decision‑making. Collaborate with senior leadership, product owners, and stakeholders to shape digital initiatives that enhance customer engagement and business performance. Oversee architecture frameworks ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and sustainable. Lead end‑to‑end software development efforts, promoting modern engineering principles and continuous delivery practices. Establish technical standards and best practices to ensure consistency, quality, and maintainability across platforms. DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Implement and refine DevOps and SRE methodologies to drive automation, resilience, and operational efficiency. Foster a culture of observability, proactive monitoring, and continuous improvement in system performance and uptime. User Experience & Interface Design Guide UI/UX teams to develop intuitive, accessible, and engaging interfaces that enhance the digital customer journey. Integrate design thinking principles into product development to ensure solutions are both functional and user‑centric. Quality Assurance & Testing Establish comprehensive testing frameworks encompassing both automated and manual testing approaches. Ensure all digital releases meet high standards of quality, performance, and security before deployment. People & Culture Build, mentor, and empower cross‑functional digital teams to deliver with agility, accountability, and innovation. Promote collaboration across architecture, engineering, design, and operations teams. Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in any related field. Proven experience (typically 12+ years) in digital technology leadership roles, preferably within banking, financial services, or large‑scale consumer‑facing industries. Strong background in digital architecture, full‑stack engineering, DevOps, and agile software delivery. Experience leading large, complex digital transformation programs. Understanding of customer experience design, cloud technologies, APIs, and modern platform development. Key Attributes Strategic thinker with a hands‑on technical orientation.
