Mechanical Engineer – ABSI, Quezon City, National Capital Region, Philippines

Responsibilities
  • Leads in the design, development and implementation of Mechanical Quality Assurance Programs for capability building in terms of technical knowledge and process knowledge of the internal Project Teams (BU PMTS) and across NEZ to drive quality compliance across the project lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, implement and monitor systems that track non-compliances and observations that may cause potential quality issues, and observed best practices across all projects to enable measurement of cost impact and ensure successful recovery of associated costs.
  • Develop quality programs to establish quality culture across the enterprise including proponents and end-users, as well as external partners such as suppliers and contractors for consistent delivery of quality services and materials.
  • Influence owners and executives of the contractors and suppliers to invest in Mechanical QA programs to consistently deliver quality services/goods.
  • Institutionalize Best Practices in Mechanical Quality Assurance across the company.
  • Work closely with internal functional experts to develop and implement Mechanical QA programs aimed at reducing the number of quality infractions.
  • Lead in monitoring the committed benefits of projects and deliverables such as Site Inspection, Testing and Commissioning.
  • Monitor project non-compliance and ensure adequate closing of non-compliance reports as well as sanctions/penalties given to vendors and provide periodic reporting to PMTS management.
Job Qualifications
  • 5-10 years’ experience in the preparation and implementation of Mechanical Quality Assurance Plans.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering).
  • Master’s degree or certifications in Quality Assurance or Six Sigma (optional).
