Shipboard Medispa Physician

Reports to: Spa Manager

The Medi-Spa Physician administers cosmetic medical procedures to onboard guests. They must possess the clinical knowledge to administer these procedures safely and effectively, and be able to explain all aspects of the products and services to guests. They must have excellent communication skills and provide aesthetic medical solutions to address guests’ concerns. The Medi-Spa Physicians will work with the Medi-Spa Sales Consultant, who assists with sales, marketing, and promotional activities and may translate when necessary. Physicians should gain knowledge of spa services and products to cross-promote these offerings to guests and will review and give final approval for all service/treatment plans organized and booked by the Medi-Spa Sales Consultant.

• Completed medical education and hold a medical degree from a recognized college or university.
• Hold a current valid medical license.
• Board certification or similar international certification in Plastic Surgery or Dermatology is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable with giving presentations/speaking in front of large groups.
• Fluency in English.
• Must be able to work without direct supervision and actively promote the services to guests.

• Provide consistent professional medi-spa services and treatments in accordance with OneSpaWorld’s medi-spa protocols.
• Conduct patient follow-up as required and adapt to scheduling needs to support the spa and guests.
• Care for equipment properly and manage product/supply use to assist with cost control.
• Follow the service pricing policy set by OneSpaWorld.
• Complete the Medical Record with guests prior to services and store records for the required period (2 years on most ships; 3 years on Cunard and P&O).
• Cross-promote other spa services and maintain high sanitation and sterilization standards as directed.
• Prepare and restock the medi-spa treatment room; manage medical product and supply inventory.
• Communicate any occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention and answer guest questions professionally.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment; participate in training and staff meetings.
• Attend embarkation day and sea day team meetings; assist in all areas of spa operation as directed by management.
• Train new spa staff in medi-spa services and cross-promotion skills; ensure staff confidence with services and promotions.
• Follow Medi-Spa Operations Policies and report daily via email; maintain inventory reports at end of each cruise.
• Review guest consultations and ensure consent forms are completed; discuss aftercare instructions and schedule follow-ups as needed.
• Maintain room cleanliness and readiness for next guest; avoid standing at the front desk between services.
• End-of-day tasks include sanitization, inventory control, and reporting; adhere to GPS and sanitation policies and logs.
