Overview

The Director of Talent & Culture is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing all strategies, plans, and programs related to the Talent & Culture Department at New World Makati Hotel . He/she will establish a sustainable, productive, and competent workforce that aligns with the operational needs of the property. Key responsibilities include the development and execution of initiatives in talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, talent development, employee relations, and workplace safety. The Director of Talent & Culture plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement and supports organizational growth. Location: Makati, National Capital Region, Philippines.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and oversee strategies for talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, talent development, employee relations, and workplace safety.
  • Establish a sustainable, productive, and competent workforce that supports hotel operations.
  • Lead policy development, recruitment, talent development, operational readiness, and maintain strong communication with labor authorities and unions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, local labor laws, and budget guidelines.
  • Model the Company’s culture and values; uphold brand integrity; adapt to evolving business needs; and take on additional tasks as required.
  • Report to the General Manager and Corporate Talent & Culture and collaborate with hotel leadership to support operational readiness.
  • Comply with company policies; work within pre-set budgetary limits; drive and contribute to the department’s overall efficiency; motivate and develop team members; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Training Management, Hotel Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least seven years of HR experience, ideally within an international hotel company.
  • Broad experience across HR disciplines—with emphasis on compensation and benefits, associate relations, rewards, training & development, and organizational design—considered an advantage.
