Infrastructure Engineer (IAM) – 6349 at Cambridge University Press & Assessment Overview We are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Manila team in the Internal Identity platform group, focusing on OKTA Workforce Identity. The role is based in Makati City, operating in a hybrid work environment. You will work UK hours (BST/GMT) and support the secure, scalable identity and access management system across the company. Your responsibilities include: Technical leadership for OKTA Workforce Identity, designing and implementing secure solutions Managing OKTA integration with Active Directory, Entra ID, SaaS apps, and cloud services Optimising authentication, federation and SSO configurations Leading project delivery of new IAM solutions and improvements Applying identity security standards, governance, and lifecycle policies Providing operational support for IAM tools and services Sharing knowledge and coaching colleagues Giving clear advice to leaders and stakeholders Working on UK hours and joining the on‑call rotation What makes you the ideal candidate We are looking for a professional who brings the following skills and experience: 2 to 3 years’ hands‑on experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM), including OKTA Workforce Identity Advanced certifications in OKTA, Microsoft Active Directory, and/or Entra ID Strong expertise in Active Directory, Entra ID, authentication protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAUTH2), and identity federation Experience leading the design and support of identity platforms in large organisations Strong understanding of security, compliance, and best practices for identity management – including lifecycle management and MFA Skills in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory services (domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy) Experience with PowerShell and Terraform for automation A willingness to learn new IAM technologies and integrations Alongside these technical skills, you should enjoy working in an agile environment with colleagues from diverse backgrounds worldwide.
