Overview

  1. Project Oversight- Review project scopes and validate engineering requirements before procurement.
  2. Cost Review & Value Engineering- Analyze quotations and BOQs for fairness, accuracy, and cost efficiency.
  3. Site Oculars & Validation- Conduct site visits to verify technical feasibility and contractor execution.
  4. Vendor Engagement- Coordinate with external engineers or contractors for scoping, pricing, and timeline confirmation.
  5. Requirement Compliance- Ensure specifications and deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and internal standards.
  6. Documentation & Reporting- Submit engineering reviews, scope validations, and vendor recommendations.
  7. Support to Procurement- Assist the Procurement team in sourcing decisions for technical projects or materials.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
  • Licensed Engineer (preferred but not mandatory depending on scope)
  • 5–7 years of experience in engineering, project coordination, or technical procurement roles
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead capacity, ideally within project-based or facilities environments
  • Experience working with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams (e.g., Admin, Finance, Compliance)
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of construction methods, MEP systems, or infrastructure project execution
  • Experience validating scopes of work, material specifications, and BOQs
  • Skilled in reviewing drawings, layouts, and proposals
  • Proficient in estimating tools, MS Excel, and project tracking systems
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety protocols
Procurement-Related Skills
  • Cost analysis and value engineering mindset
  • Vendor coordination and contractor vetting
  • RFQ/RFP evaluation support and technical negotiations
Soft Skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication
  • Negotiation and issue-resolution capabilities
  • Keen attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to manage site visits, technical checks, and multiple stakeholders
