Overview

Account Manager Visayas (Iloilo-based) at BD. Location: BD Taguig, National Capital Region, Philippines. The role focuses on realizing opportunities for each platform in the territory through clinical engagements and by supporting the commercial promotional activities and undertakings of our appointed regional distributors to end customers.

This includes responsibilities related to promotion of best practices and clinical stewardship (education, training, updates and relevant professional organizations) to drive overall BDx business objectives. The AM is responsible for developing new users of BDx products and increasing compliance to best clinical practice among existing customers.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the sustainable compliant growth of BDX products in the assigned territory.
  • Function as a key resource point-person in providing relevant clinical updates, training programs, and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Generate new leads, assess opportunities and work on converting these opportunities based on the funnel determined by BD.
  • Help develop and design strategic education programs in support of the business objectives and strategies.
  • Collaborate with clinical resource teams to design and implement education programs with business impact.
  • Analyze consumer needs and develop innovative solutions with MDS platforms.
  • Identify Key Champions in hospitals to drive changes in practice.
  • Map accounts and profile stakeholders to manage territory for implementation of business objectives.
  • Identify decision processes in accounts and prepare tactical plans for success in the territory.
  • Conduct BDX programs and coordinate with marketing and clinical resource teams on account-specific activities.
  • Ensure timely completion of requirements aligned with BD ways in implementation/execution of activities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key influencers, opinion leaders, professional organizations and end users.
  • Enhance product knowledge and guideline-based clinical practice, especially in infusion therapy, and drive training for distributor teams.
  • Develop account penetration strategies and coordinate contract requirements with distributors.
  • Collaborate with regional distributors to execute and communicate commercial and marketing programs.
  • Work with distributor teams to monitor program implementation, drive conversion initiatives, and review distributor KPIs; prepare and conduct business briefings with distributors.
  • Manage accounts’ needs to promote and deliver company products and services.
  • Provide strategic and technical inputs to aid short- and long-term portfolio and business plans.
  • Represent the company at conventions, exhibitions and related public gatherings.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned from time to time.
Education & Requirements
  • Degree or higher in Bachelor of Science in Nursing or related medical or allied health
  • Passed the Nursing Licensure Examination (mandatory)
Relevant Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years business development or key accounts management experience, preferably in a multinational pharmaceutical or healthcare company
  • High commercial experience
  • Strong business acumen, customer-focused and results-driven
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to interact with different stakeholders
  • Knowledge of current marketing trends and clinical best practices
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, MS Office and Excel
  • Strong account management and decision-making skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry, preferably on infusion therapy
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent time management and organization; prioritizing and triaging obligations
  • Attention to detail; demonstrable business and marketing acumen
  • Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willing to travel
