Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager – Angeles City, Philippines Full‑time Position within MCI. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to management, shareholders, and regulatory authorities. Implement and maintain accounting procedures in compliance with regulations and company policies. Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in coordination with executive management and department heads. Monitor budget variances and provide insights to support decision‑making and strategic planning. Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Review and approve payment batches, vendor invoices, and customer billing statements. Coordinate tax planning and compliance activities, including preparation of tax returns and adherence to tax regulations. Work with external auditors and tax advisors to support audits and resolve tax issues. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Provide recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency. Recruit, train, and supervise accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Foster a collaborative and high‑performing team culture, promoting professional development and growth opportunities. Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Conduct periodic audits to assess control effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Evaluate, select, and implement accounting software and systems to streamline processes and enhance productivity. Integrate financial systems with other business systems to facilitate data flow and reporting accuracy. Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, such as hedging currency or interest rate exposures. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of risk management activities, adjusting strategies as needed. Candidate Qualities Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of experience in a finance leadership role with a track record of successfully leading complex initiatives and driving results. Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and corporate finance concepts; expertise in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting. Financial certification (CFA, CPA, etc.) preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to influence, negotiate, and build consensus across diverse stakeholders. Strategic thinker who translates business objectives into actionable plans and initiatives, driving execution to achieve desired outcomes. Analytical mindset, able to synthesize complex information, identify insights, and make data‑driven decisions. Proficiency in project management tools, financial software applications, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines. Authorized to work in the Philippines. Willing to submit to a Level II background and/or security investigation and drug screening.
