The Assistant Controller is responsible in managing daily accounting operations, including cash transactions, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of accounting entries, prepares financial statements, and leads junior accountants to meet team goals. This position also supports continuous process improvement, client communication, and financial compliance. Responsibilities Oversee and manage all aspects of cash accounting, including reconciliations, reporting, and financial analysis. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Review journal entries and account reconciliations related to cash and general accounting. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and deadlines. Maintain adherence to accounting principles, audit requirements, and internal controls. Support process improvement initiatives and drive efficiency in accounting operations. Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits and financial reviews. Communicate professionally with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders regarding billing or reconciliation inquiries. Assist with payroll, cash flow forecasting, and interim audits as needed. Qualifications Experience using MS Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and data analysis. Experience using ERP systems such as Acumatica or MYOB (training available if needed). Experience in Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliation, and customer support or vendor coordination. Take on payroll, cash flow forecasting, and interim audit tasks. Has knowledge in accrual accounting, bank reconciliation, and month-end close processes. Attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines. Problem-solving and analytical ability with sound decision-making skills. Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.
