About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to join the client’s dynamic consulting team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting school districts and cities, and managing their financial operations and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources. Work hours 3:00 am to 12:00 pm EST (3pm to 12am PH time) Work arrangement Remote What you’ll do Financial Planning and Analysis Develop and maintain financial models to forecast school district and city performance. Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to provide actionable insights to senior management. Collaborate with our consulting team to provide analysis to school districts and cities. Budget Management Monitor and manage school district and city budgets, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Provide regular budget updates to the consulting team and make recommendations for budget adjustments as needed. Monitor numerous budgets across grants, funds and organizations. Financial Reporting Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Cost Analysis Conduct cost analysis to optimize spending and improve cost-efficiency across school districts and cities. Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement. Financial Strategy Collaborate with the consulting team to develop financial strategies to improve school district and city performance. Audit and Compliance Support activities associated with external audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus. At least 3-5 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar financial role. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment. Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards. Passion for education and a commitment to the mission.
