We are looking for a Government Partnerships & Business Development Manager who can confidently lead strategic partnerships across government and the wider development sector. This role requires a professional with deep familiarity with public-sector systems, policy clusters, and donor-funded initiatives — someone who understands how programs in human development, education, health, sustainability, climate resilience, and financial inclusion connect to larger national priorities. The ideal candidate brings both strategic foresight and operational grit — able to open doors at the institutional level, shape proposals, and manage complex multi-stakeholder engagements from pitch to implementation. Key Responsibilities Lead the organization’s business growth strategy across public, development, and multilateral sectors. Conduct landscape and cluster research to identify high-value partnership and funding opportunities. Develop data-driven growth plans aligned with human development and sustainability goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers and implementing partners across public institutions, donor agencies, and social sector organizations. Lead proposal design, presentations, negotiations, and partnership activation. Work closely with internal strategy, research, and creative teams to ensure solutions meet both client objectives and public impact standards. Represent AHA BD in forums, conferences, and inter-agency dialogues that align with organizational priorities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Development Studies, Public Administration, or related field. Minimum of 7 years’ experience in business development, partnerships, or account management, preferably in government, consulting, or social impact organizations. Demonstrated ability to secure, manage, and grow institutional partnerships in the public or development sector. Strong understanding of program design, government procurement, and donor funding mechanisms. Proven success in managing projects in education, public health, human development, climate resilience, or sustainability. Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
