Overview

Senior Renewable Energy Engineer role at Arup based in Manila, Philippines. You will work within the Southeast Asia energy business, supporting regional and global assignments on renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro-electric and storage) and related initiatives. The role involves technical leadership, project management and client engagement.

Your role in our team
  • Technical leadership and direction in the delivery of renewable energy projects.
  • Lead small to medium sized teams/projects and contribute to larger projects.
  • Lead feasibility, procurement and design works for projects.
  • Initiate and manage project reviews, including inception and design reviews.
  • Resolve complex technical issues and ensure the project delivers commercially against Arup’s plan.
  • Support the Project Director in overall delivery; manage health and safety on the project.
  • Produce communication plans and deliver key components of project communications.
  • Lead resource, skills and time planning for timely delivery.
  • Lead meetings and client presentations; maintain quality standards and client relations.
  • Assist with bids and proposals.
What we look for
  • Licensed/Chartered/Professionally Qualified Engineer (Civil or similar); postgraduate study is an advantage.
  • At least 10 years in relevant energy industries (power generation, solar PV, hydro, wind), including project management and proposals within a multi-disciplinary consulting environment.
  • Experience delivering small to utility-scale power projects.
  • Professional membership in recognized local or international bodies.
  • Knowledge of local policies, regulations, codes of practice and guidelines, including OH&S.
  • Solid technical understanding of renewable technologies and installation requirements.
  • Ability to manage commercial aspects of projects and work on consulting service proposals.
  • Effective written communication and report writing skills; able to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
