Direc Business Technologies, Inc. The SAP Basis Cloud Migration Consultant leads the execution of the lift-and-shift of SAP ECC setup from On-Premise to Cloud. This project-based role encompasses discovery and sizing, landing and network build‑out, system copy and replication, HA/DR Design, security hardening, cutover planning and orchestration, and handover to operations. Duties and Responsibilities Gather and analyze the current SAP landscape (systems, OS/DB versions, interfaces, batch jobs, printing, certificates/SSO). Right‑size compute/storage and design target cloud architecture (ASCS/ERS, PAS/AAS, shared filesystems, transport strategy). Build the landing zone and connectivity (VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, VPN/Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, DNS/NTP, firewalls/NSGs). Execute the migration using system copy/backup‑restore or DB/native replication with minimal downtime. Migrate and validate shared directories (/usr/sap, /sapmnt, trans), interfaces (RFC/IDoc/file/SFTP), and job schedules. Implement HA/DR patterns (multi‑AZ HA, cross‑region DR, RPO/RTO targets) and conduct failover/DR drills. Tune system performance post‑move and run benchmark/load tests with acceptance criteria. Plan and run mock cutovers, define rollback/fallback, and lead the production cutover. Create runbooks and SOPs for monitoring/backup/patching/capacity and hand over to operations with cost‑optimization guidance. Provide support and assistance to client during cutover period and Go‑Live. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 4+ years of SAP Basis administration with at least 2 end‑to‑end SAP rehost/migration projects (on‑prem to cloud). Strong hands‑on with SWPM/SAPinst, system copies, kernels/profiles, transport management, and backup/restore. Cloud infrastructure fluency (AWS/Azure/GCP compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring; HA/DR reference patterns). Solid networking and security fundamentals (VPN/ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, firewalls/NSGs, TLS, key management). Experience validating interfaces, printing, and SSO/SAPRouter configurations post‑migration. Excellent documentation, problem‑solving, stakeholder communication, and cutover leadership.
