Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: Write fact-check stories and adapt them to various formats supporting fact-checking and disinformation research initiatives. Collaborate with MovePH to drive civic engagement around fact-checking and data projects; facilitate discussions and assist contributors in the fact-check chat channel on the Rappler Communities app. Gather, verify, and organize datasets ensuring data reliability, updates, and accessibility. Validate and structure raw data, tagging entities for accuracy. Maintain data integrity through meticulous archival and quality control processes. Coordinate with government bodies and institutions to acquire data, enhancing research scope and depth. Pitch and develop reports or stories based on research findings, adapting content for multimedia formats such as TikTok or animation when necessary. About You The company is looking for: Fresh graduates preferred with Bachelor’s Degrees in Communication, Journalism, Political Science, Statistics, or other research-related fields. Proven experience with fact-checking and data verification (internships or project-based experience are a plus). Strong skills in data organization and data visualization. Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively in both English and Filipino. Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills with a commitment to accuracy and detail. Motivated to support truth in journalism and proactive in problem-solving.
