Leading a large team based in the Philippines and as part of the global Financial Crime Threat Management team, this role is not only responsible for the design and operational management of both AML and Sanctions investigations, but also for leading strategic initiatives that strengthen our defences against financial crime. You will champion innovation, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of compliance and resilience within the Financial Crime team in Manila. Your leadership will directly influence ANZ’s ability to anticipate, respond to, and mitigate emerging threats, ensuring our business remains agile and future ready. Role Type: Permanent, full-timeRole Location: Eastwood, Quezon City What will you day look like? In this role, you will be accountable for: Strategic Leadership: Lead the Financial Crime Team in Manila delivering world‑class AML and Sanctions investigation, setting the standard for excellence and innovation across the region. Stakeholder Influence: Establish and nurture trusted relationships with senior leaders within the ANZ Group, serving as a strategic partner at the leadership table and actively shaping the organization’s success and growth. Transformation & Change: Drive transformation initiatives, leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. Talent Development: Cultivate a high‑performing, resilient team, championing professional growth, technical expertise, and a culture of continuous learning. Risk & Compliance: Ensure robust governance and risk management frameworks are in place, proactively identifying and addressing emerging threats. Operational Excellence: Optimize processes to balance productivity and compliance, delivering consistent, high‑quality outcomes meeting legislative, policy and service agreement requirements. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Extensive senior leadership experience in operational management supported by application in the Financial Crime/ Regulatory and Compliance arena. Experienced Manager. Strong Leadership and People management skills with at least 7 years of experience on coaching, mentoring and managing teams and high performing operational teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and succinct manner to non‑technical persons. Appropriate university degree supported by extensive proven years of practical application of knowledge in the banking / financial industry strong organisational skills. Able to manage priorities and conflicting issues in a professional manner, including strong influencing skills. Experienced in presenting to senior executive forums. Ability to work under pressure and lead large teams in a dynamic, time‑driven, high volume, high accuracy, high consequence environment. You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
