Job Summary:
The General Manager will oversee the company’s entire operations, including sales, back-office employees, logistics, and overall workforce management. This role requires a strong leader who can ensure smooth day-to-day operations, drive business growth, and address operational concerns efficiently. Since the company coordinates with headquarters in China, fluency in Mandarin is required for effective communication and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all company operations, including sales, back-office, logistics, and overall workforce.

  • Supervise and support department heads and ensure alignment with company objectives.

  • Oversee the execution of sales strategies and monitor sales performance.

  • Ensure efficient operations across all departments while maintaining productivity and cost-effectiveness.

  • Act as the main liaison with headquarters in China; prepare and present regular reports and updates.

  • Communicate effectively in Mandarin for coordination and business discussions with Chinese counterparts.

  • Identify and resolve operational issues, ensuring smooth workflow and timely resolution of concerns.

  • Establish policies and procedures to improve efficiency, performance, and compliance.

  • Manage budgets, resources, and company assets responsibly.

  • Motivate, develop, and evaluate employees to maintain high performance and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (MBA is an advantage).

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior management role, preferably in the paint, construction, or building materials industry.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken (required).

  • Ability to handle pressure, manage multiple departments, and deliver results.

  • Willing to travel and work closely with stakeholders in China.
