Lead discovery and design, set standards for deployment and operations, and mentor engineers. Expect hands-on work with vSphere, vSAN ESA, NSX, Aria, and SDDC Manager, plus real design authority on DR, capacity, and security. VCDX, VCAP, or Broadcom Knight designations are strongly preferred. Work Setup: Full-time ; Remote; Night shift (rotating) Responsibilities Run discovery workshops, capture requirements and constraints, and produce documented VCF 9.x architectures (management and workload domains, multi-site). Create design artifacts: logical/physical designs, recovery plans, runbooks, and operational models; lead peer/design reviews. Implement and upgrade SDDC Manager, vSphere/vCenter, vSAN ESA, NSX, and Aria (Ops/Network/Logs, LCM). Own lifecycle management. Plan and execute migrations and upgrades from prior VCF versions; design workload mobility and BC/DR strategies. Establish health checks, capacity models, monitoring, and alerting; hand off cleanly to operations with documentation and training. Advise on licensing and right-sizing; contribute to offers, estimates, and pricing guardrails. Mentor engineers; set delivery standards; review and approve critical changes. Partner with security on segmentation, key management, and compliance overlays. Required Qualifications 8–12+ years working with VMware core stack; 3–5+ years designing or operating VCF at scale. Deep experience in at least two areas: NSX (segmentation, EVPN/BGP), vSAN ESA design, Aria suite, multi-site DR. Proven ownership of end-to-end designs from requirements through defense and handover. Clear, concise design documentation and the ability to defend decisions to architects and executives. Certifications (one or more required) VCDX (DCV/CMA/NV). VCAP (Design or Deploy in DCV/NV/CMA). Broadcom Software Knight (VMware track) or equivalent mastery.
