Data Collection Team – MSCI Inc. Location: Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines MSCI’s Data Collection team manages over 4,000 raw data points across 70,000 companies, sourced from 300+ public channels including filings, AGMs, news articles, and websites—resulting in more than 20 million data updates annually. This data serves as the foundation for MSCI’s Sustainability and Climate products, models, and indexes. As MSCI continues to innovate, the Data Collection team is leading the transformation of data operations through AI. By integrating generative AI, intelligent agents, and scalable automation, the team is redefining how data is sourced, processed, and validated. Key Responsibilities Drive insightful research: source, analyze, and process data using generative AI to extract meaningful insights. Transform unstructured information into actionable intelligence from reports, websites, feeds, crawlers, and news. Enhance data quality and efficiency: improve diagnostics, reduce manual false positives, and increase operational efficiency. Implement AI‑assisted scalable models to streamline data sourcing from multiple channels. Monitor sustainability and climate trends: assess data availability, relevance, and alignment with evolving stakeholder needs. Engineer generative AI‑powered data extraction models to continuously improve accuracy and efficiency. Manage AI agents, refine output through expert feedback, and serve as a validation layer. Collaborate with downstream teams to define quality control frameworks and ensure seamless data delivery. Skills and Experience 3+ years of experience in data collection, research, and data management, with a strong understanding of sustainability and climate‑related data trends, frameworks, and industry standards. Advanced Excel proficiency for handling large volumes of data efficiently. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create impactful presentations and conduct in-depth research. Proactive mindset toward applying foundational AI tools or techniques to drive process improvements and operational efficiency. Familiarity with tools such as Pandas, Power BI, and Jupyter Notebooks is a plus. Solid understanding of equities, financial markets, and public company disclosures (10‑K, reports). Experience in client and issuer relations and communication. Comfortable working across hierarchies, functions, and geographies; prior experience in a global team within an international company is preferred.
