About the role Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) for clients. Ensure compliance with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations and deadlines. Reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements. Provide advice on GST, PAYG, and other tax-related matters. Assist clients with bookkeeping and accounting tasks. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Liaise with the ATO on behalf of clients regarding BAS-related issues. Provide training and support to clients on accounting software and BAS preparation. Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations. Qualifications / Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field. Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks. Strong understanding and experience of BAS, IAS, GST, PAYG, and other tax obligations. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients. High level of integrity and professionalism. Experience in XERO tax software for the preparation of company, individual, partnership and trust tax returns. What's in it for you?
