Instrument Technician at Instrumentation and Control Specialists, Inc. Key Responsibilities Calibrate, test, and troubleshoot instruments (pressure, flow, temperature, level sensors) to ensure accurate readings. Install, maintain, and repair instrumentation and control devices such as transmitters, controllers, and recorders per industry standards. Assist in commissioning activities: verify instrument functionality, perform calibration, and ensure integration with control systems. Conduct loop checks to verify communication between field instruments and the control system. Wiring, cable pulling, and termination for electrical and instrumentation systems. Install conduits (EMT, IMC, PVC, etc.) for cabling. Use test equipment (multimeters, megohmmeters, oscilloscopes) for electrical and signal testing. Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and other technicians on system integration and troubleshooting. Assist with system upgrades and retrofitting activities. Respond to equipment failures or emergencies to minimize downtime. Adhere to NEC/IEC and other electrical and instrumentation standards. Qualifications Must hold an NCII Certificate in Instrumentation and Control or equivalent. Strong understanding of instrumentation, control systems, and field communication protocols (HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus). Attention to detail with precision & accuracy in calibration and troubleshooting. Strong analytical/problem‑solving skills for timely issue resolution. Entry‑level experience acceptable.
