Job Overview

The Pump Mechanic/Technician is responsible for the inspection, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of fuel dispensers, mechanical systems, and related retail station equipment. This role ensures that all mechanical systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and industry regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of fuel dispensers, pumps, meters, and nozzles.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of dispensing systems to ensure operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist in the construction, installation, and layout of mechanical systems for new and existing retail stations.
  • Interpret and implement mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications for station facilities and piping layouts.
  • Maintain accurate service and maintenance records and prepare technical reports on system performance and findings.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental standards, particularly during installation and repair activities.
  • Coordinate with project and operations teams for timely resolution of mechanical issues.
  • Operate and maintain assigned tools, testing instruments, and service vehicles in good working condition.
  • Observe strict quality and safety standards set by Filoil Logistics Corporation.

Qualifications

  • Technical/Vocational graduate in Mechanical Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in fuel dispenser repair, maintenance, and calibration within a fuel retail or logistics environment.
  • Strong background in mechanical systems design, piping layout, and fluid mechanics.
  • Familiarity with electromechanical components and dispenser automation systems is an advantage.
  • COSH (Construction Occupational Safety and Health) certification is preferred.
  • Must be able to interpret mechanical and schematic diagrams.
  • Physically fit and willing to be assigned in various project sites nationwide.
  • Must know how to drive (4-wheeled vehicle) with a valid professional driver's license.

Technical Competencies

  • Fuel dispenser troubleshooting and calibration
  • Mechanical system installation and alignment
  • Preventive maintenance planning and execution
  • Knowledge of petroleum equipment brands (e.g., Gilbarco, Tokheim, Tatsuno)
  • Familiarity with electrical safety and grounding standards
  • Knowledge of pump flow testing and leak detection procedures
