2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Job Title Senior Subcontracts Specialist Job Description As a Senior Subcontracts Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing all subcontracting activities within our organization. You will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, and executing subcontract agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and legal teams to ensure that all subcontractor engagements are aligned with project objectives and budget constraints. This strategic position requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. You will also mentor junior staff and continuously seek to improve subcontracting processes and strategies. Responsibilities Oversee the entire subcontracting process from proposal preparation to contract closeout. Negotiate subcontract agreements ensuring alignment with company terms and conditions. Collaborate with project management to understand and define project subcontracting needs. Evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure compliance with specifications and requirements. Facilitate effective communication between subcontractors and internal teams. Drive continuous improvement in subcontractor performance and engagement strategies. Ensure all subcontracting activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Resolve subcontractor disputes and issues in a timely and effective manner. Prepare and maintain detailed subcontract files and documentation. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans for subcontracted work. Mentor and train junior staff in subcontract management best practices. Develop and implement subcontracting plans to support company objectives and goals. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field. Minimum of seven years of experience in subcontract management or administration. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills essential for success. Proven experience with contract law and subcontract negotiations preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight deadlines. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior staff effectively. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and subcontract management software.
